BioTried making my own crosswords at the age of about 5. They were rubbish. But I kept at it and now, XX years later, compile them for pleasure and (occasionally) The Times. I'm also one of few makers of "hand-made" sudoku puzzles - in inverted commas because I use software to evaluate the effects of the numbers I put in the grid; a bit like having crossword compiling software show you which words will fit into a particular slot. My world revolves around my beautiful daughter Xana, which sort of blows the cover regarding my crosswording pseudonym.
